In advance of the release of the Reserve Developmental Education Designation Board Invitation to apply, ARPC is notifying leaders of a significant change to policy with regards to candidate eligibility. The March 2014 Career Management Board, chaired by Lt. Gen. James F. Jackson, AFRC/CC, determined the mandatory separation date retainability requirement to be eligible to apply for the RDEDB would be increased from 36 to 48 months at the time of graduation. The CMB agreed that it is imperative AFRC maintains depth of the applicant pool, ensures retainability, and maximizes return on investment. The board members also determined the RDEDB Board President may continue to consider and grant waivers. Further details will be provided when the RDEDB Invitation to Apply is released in the upcoming weeks.
