ARPC welcomes new director of staff Published Aug. 2, 2013 Air Reserve Personnel Center Public Affairs BUCKLEY AIR FORC BASE, Colo. -- The Air Reserve Personnel Center welcomed a new director of staff here recently. Click on the video to hear Scott Fromm talk about his past experiences and what he has planned for ARPC. As director of staff, Fromm is responsible for managing daily activities including facilities, security, safety, training, commander support staff, protocol, history, suspenses, and workforce development. While Fromm supports all Total Force Airmen at the center including active duty, Guard, Reserve and contractors, Fromm will focus on the 171 DOD civilians assigned at the center and ensure each of them has a developmental plan. To accomplish his goal, he will ensure opportunities and expectations for positions are transparent, enhance employee knowledge of opportunities for development and advancement, work with outside agencies on available educational and training services, and generate senior leader involvement in mentoring civilians and supporting workforce development. ARPC is responsible for personnel support to nearly 1 million Air National Guard, Air Force Reserve and retired members, ensuring they are ready to deliver strategic Total Force war fighting capability for the Air Force. From initial entry to retirement, the center provides world-class support for "Generations of Airmen" throughout their military careers. The center is a direct reporting unit of Air Force Reserve Command.
