The AFR Executive Steering Group that met July 27-28 directed all AGR members be evaluated by an AGR Review Board prior to selection into the AGR career program.

During the Fall 2015 ARB, AGRs who meet one of the following criteria will be evaluated:
- AGRs within 10-15 mos of Date of Separation on current orders (with the exception of AGRs in term positions with less than 48 months consecutive TAFMS in AGR status)
- AGRs who are between 48-72 months consecutive TAFMS in AGR status
- AGRs in sanctuary or retirement eligible with tour stop dates in 2016

Note: AGR orders with a DOS after the 6-year probationary period no longer constitutes automatic career status.

All members being evaluated by the ARB are required to complete an ARB worksheet to be considered for continuation in the AGR program. The ARB worksheet must be completed by the member, his/her leadership (supervisor, SQ/CC, Wg/CC, NAF/CC, etc.) and the member's career field manager/MAJCOM functional manager.

The Fall 2015 ARB will be held Oct. 13. ARPC/DPAA will distribute individual ARB result letters via an emailed link NLT Nov. 23, 2015.

It is understood this new direction is a significant change in policy from previous years of AGR management and may be unexpected for some AGR members.

Thank you for your attention to this matter and working with us through ARB program changes.
