Air Force Recruiting commander, Air Force Personnel Operations Agency director visit ARPC

Maj. Gen. Garrett Harencak, commander, Air Force Recruiting Service, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas, and Craig Ritza, director, Air Force Personnel Operations Activity director, Joint Base San Antonio - Randolph, Texas, visited the Air Reserve Personnel Center here Nov. 13, 2015, where they were greeted and given a mission brief by Brig. Gen. Samuel “Bo” Mahaney, ARPC commander.

The distinguished visitors received an ARPC mission brief and a tour of the headquarters building where they heard briefings from directorates including the Reserve of the Air Force Selection Board Secretariat, Future Operation and Integrations and Headquarters Individual Reservist Readiness and Integration Organization.

Harencak entered the Air Force in 1983 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. His assignments include aircraft command of the B-52; instructor pilot and squadron command in the B-1B; and service as aide to the Commander of U.S. Central Command. He also directed the Headquarters U.S. Air Force Executive Secretariat, and served as Deputy Director of Requirements at Headquarters Air Combat Command. General Harencak commanded the 7th Bomb Wing at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, and the 509th Bomb Wing at Whiteman AFB, Missouri.

Ritza leads 323 military, civilian and contractor personnel providing agile information technology capabilities to AF/A1 and Field Operating Agencies, supporting the human resource needs of commanders, Airmen, families and civilians throughout the Total Force. His team ensures compliance with government and commercial information technology standards and operate, maintain and secure over 200 classified and unclassified systems supporting more than three million active, Reserve, Guard, civilian, retired and dependent personnel.
