ARPC observes POW/MIA Recognition Day

Senior Airman Marqui King, Air Reserve Personnel Center reserve assignment technician, and Nikki Johnson, ARPC promotion eligibility human resources assistant, cut a ceremonial cake in recognition of National POW/MIA Recognition Day Sept. 18, 2015, at the Air Reserve Personnel Center on Buckley Air Force Base, Colo. National POW/MIA Recognition Day is observed around the world on military installations, ships, in state capitals, schools and veterans' facilities on the third Friday in September each year. According to the Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office, more than 83,000 Americans are missing from World War II, the Korean War, the Cold War, the Vietnam War and the 1991 Gulf War.
