Bari Wald, an Air Force Reserve Individual Mobilization Augmentee assigned to U.S. Forces Korea, oversaw a team of 10 U.S. and ROK public affairs professionals whose efforts resulted in a multitude of stories being published in print and online.

Ellen Moore, the Headquarters Air Reserve Personnel Center Commander, who presided over the ceremony and later presented the guidon to the new HQ RIO commander, Col. Kelli B. Smiley.

Brig. Gen. Ellen Moore, the HQ ARPC commander, presents Col. Carolyn Stickell with the Legion of Merit medal during a change of command ceremony, June 12. Following the award presentation, Stickell relinquished command of the organization she had managed for two years to Moore, the presiding officer, who then passed the command onto HQ RIO's new commander, Col. Kelli B. Smiley.

Smiley comes to HQ RIO after previously serving as the director of Total Force Services at HQ ARPC, which is responsible for providing personnel support to over 1 million Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard and retired Airmen.

Oriana Skylar Mastro, an Air Force Reserve Individual Mobilization Augmentee assigned to Pacific Air Force, gives a lecture on the Chinese military. Captain Mastro is a political-military affairs strategist at PACAF and is an assistant professor of security studies at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

Oriana Skylar Mastro (center, seated at far end of table) gives a presentation on her research work, which delves into how the U.S. and China would handle North Korea's nuclear assets in the event of a contingency. Captain Mastro is an Air Force Reserve Individual Mobilization Augmentee assigned to Pacific Air Force as a political-military affairs strategist. She is also a Stanton Nuclear Security Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relation and assistant professor of security studies at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.
