During the commander’s call today, Brig. Gen. Ellen Moore signed the 2019 Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM) Proclamation as deceleration that we at HQ ARPC strongly support the robust efforts that have been and will continue to be made to care for victims. Sexual assault continues to be the most under reported violent crime in our society. As SAAPM commences, we encourage all service members to participate in prevention activities and renew your pledge to fight against sexual assault. Together we can work to further reduce, with the goal to eliminate, sexual assault from the armed forces.

In a Presidential Nomination Announcement today, the Air Force's top nuclear commander, Gen. John E. Hyten, Commander of U.S. Strategic Command, was nominated to become the next Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. In this capacity, Gen. Hyten will be a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the nation’s second highest-ranking military officer.

*HOT* CY20 EDEB Application Deadline Extended The CY20 Air Force Reserve Enlisted Developmental Education Board’s (EDEB) suspense/deadline has been extended from 8 Apr 2019 to Sunday, 14 April due to system issues. The EDEB board is still scheduled to convene 14-18 May 2019 at the Air Reserve Personnel Center, Buckley Air Force Base, CO. We assure you that we will work through all applications that are in coordination and help facilitate the routing process. Our very own Senior Master Sgt. Jessica James, superintendent of the assignments division, was named the Air Force Reserve Command Outstanding Airman of the Year Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year! James will now compete as the Major Command winner at the Air Force level. This is a huge accomplishment as winning this award is highly competitive.
